Lovely to meet you!

I’m Ruby, the face behind She is Virtual.

After years of working in various positions across businesses big and small, I took all of my favourite parts of my roles, and combined them into my dream job, with a vision to help small businesses and independent professionals flourish. My days are now spent doing things I absolutely love - admin, marketing, writing, graphic design, research, planning, shopping and organising.

I have the immense privilege of working with a wide variety of incredible professionals and business owners, making their lives easier. No day is the same, and that’s exactly the way I like it!

Based in Brisbane, I spend my downtime with my family, and our very energetic Labradoodle, Murphy. I consume a lot of chai lattes, reality TV, true-crime podcasts, and renovation Pinterest boards, and am known amongst my friends for needing to be in bed by 9pm.

With extensive experience across real estate, administration, customer service, and retail management, plus a Diploma of Marketing & Communication under my belt, I would love the opportunity to make your life easier and can’t wait to connect with you to see what magic we can create together for your business!

Why hire a Virtual Assistant instead of an employee?

Flexibility

When you hire a virtual assistant (VA), you’re not locked into a permanent contract. Hours can fluctuated as you need, tasks can change as required, and overall there’s a lot more flexibility for both parties.

Invested Team Member

Sometimes, employees just want a job where they turn up, get paid, and go home. No matter how productive or devoted they are, they still get paid. As your VA, I take pride in being invested in you and your best interests. I am incredibly motivated to provide the best possible service to you - because let’s be honest: if you’re unsatisfied, you can end our contract without needing to performance manage me out! I also have years of experience as a business owner and marketing professional, meaning I can bring a fresh perspective to your work, in the interest of your success and your success only. If you want an invested team member who is intrinsically motivated to see you succeed, that’s what you’ll get!

Cost Effective

For so many reasons, choosing a VA can be much more cost effective than an employee. You don’t need to worry about covering their expenses, from office supplies to training courses. You also don’t pay sick leave, annual leave, or superannuation. VAs are independent contractors which means they cover their own expenses, leave and insurances. We might cost more per hour, but you only pay for the hours you need, which can be much more affordable than a full-time employee.

Independent Worker

VAs truly take care of themselves. As mentioned already, you don’t need to worry about processing leave forms, sick pay, or even payroll each week. You don’t need to stress about workplace culture and job satisfaction, or even productivity. VAs are highly experienced in working independently - delegate a task and wait for it to be completed. They handle all of their own tracking and invoicing, and there are no expectations of benefits. There is far less involvement and management for you, so you can spend more time winning new business and really moving the needle in your own work!

Dedicated Support

Don’t worry about sharing your admin support with an office full of busy agents. Your work is a priority for your VA, and for the hours you need them, they’re essentially at your beck and call! We may have other clients, but at least for She is Virtual, work is prioritised in order of urgency and things can be shifted around to suit.

Efficiency

With a VA, you won’t end up paying them for lunch breaks, socialising in the office, or wasted time. We’re also an incredibly skilled and efficient bunch, with specialised expertise already in place. This means you’ll never have to worry about paying us for weeks of initial training, as we hit the ground running with majority of the knowledge we already need already in place.
